About Me: Jittaun Taylor

My interest in fashion started at a young age! I was always putting together outfits that had several different patterns and had a collection of bright red shoes. It's no surprise that I decided  I wanted a career in the fashion industry. I began pursuing a degree to be a buyer in my first year of college. My experiences, while impactful didn’t allow for many opportunities. It was then I decided to leave my local university and transfer to Kent State University. The opportunities at Kent were endless and studying there lead me to discover my love of styling. I joined a fashion organization on campus called Kent Styles where I actively participated.  Kent Styles gives student stylists the chance to style one of their monthly shoots by submitting a mood board and having it reviewed by the executive board. I styled two shoots and a fashion show collection for the organization. I enjoyed styling for the organization so much that I started styling my own independent shoots. This allowed me to connect with a new community of student photographers and models. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I created the Styling Addict team to give other creatives a space where they could collaborate and expand their own portfolios. On December 19th, 2020 I graduated from Kent State with my Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Fashion Media and the opportunity to take Styling Addict to new heights.
